- (…) there could be no happy community in which there was one unhappy child.
- One was left speechless by all such a person couldn’t know.
- When I was younger I thought the church was there because it helped everybody enlarge their spirit, but really, people around here appear to be more meanspirited than ever.
- (…) the people’s characteristics, easily discerned, were imprinted on the landscape.
- Life goes on. The pain of it so sure. The sweetness of it so mysterious.
- That the story is only the mask for the truth?
- (…) men refuse to remember things that don’t happen to them.
- World wars have been fought and lost; for every war is against the world and every war agains the world is lost.
- One never asked for fear of the answer.
- Women are indestructible down there, … they are like leather: the more you chew it, the softer it gets.
- Man is jealous of woman’s pleasure, …, because she does not require him to achieve it.
- (…) suddenly I had to start feeling my own feelings for myself.
- (…) when one has seen too much of life, one understands it is a good thing to die.
- (…) the God of woman is autonomy.
- Religion is an elaborate excuse for what man has done to women and to the earth.
- Do fools need encouragement? … they encourage themselves.
- The pleasure a woman receives comes from her own brain. The brain sends it to any spot a lover can touch.
- It is only because a woman is made into a woman that a man becomes a man.
- (…) maybe death is easier than life, as pregnancy is easier than birth.
- Because women are cowards, and do not need to be reminded that we are.
- There is for humans no greater hell to fear than the one on earth.
- RESISTANCE IS THE SECRET OF JOY!
